As we start the second month of the year 2025 of our Lord and Savior, so much has happened from wildfires in California decimating entire neighborhoods in Los Angeles (the city of Angels), to record snowstorms in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi, places where snow has not normally been seen. Earthquakes being reported in unfamiliar places like Massachusetts. Matthew 24:7 and Luke 21:11, 25, speak of such happenings. However, events of perplexity are happening in this country and all over this planet.
I use the word “perplexity” as God is not the author of confusion (I Corinthians 14:33), and yes, the context of that scripture is relative to order in the assembly during worship. If this is so, as created beings, howbeit that we would abide in confusion and chaos? Forgive me, I digress. Paul knew that he didn’t yet have a grasp on the things of God, yet he encourages and admonishes us in Philippians 3:13-14 to “forget the things behind and press, strain, push, persevere, toward the goal to win the prize of the high calling of God which is in Christ Jesus”. He shares with us that we should focus on the future and not dwell on the past but continue in striving to be like Christ.
I was asked a question. “Am I fearful of the things that I’m witnessing?”. My response to this and similar questions is emphatically “No”. My answer also included, to “think it not strange that these events are happening”. There are those who will only delve into the 65 books in the Holy Scriptures and waver about the 66th. Not really understanding that it is not a book about “doom and gloom’. It is a book very closely related to who God is. He is the Alpha and The Omega, The Beginning and The End. So, the Bible, Genesis to Revelation. God from the beginning has been preparing those who are His to get us to the place of being ready as He finally reveals Himself. So yes, in my studies, this is the revelation that I have received.
My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in The Way, we may not be certain as to what is to come, however, we know He who knows what is to come, and when it is to come. We can rest assure that The Father, who knows the end to our beginning (Isaiah 46:10), knows the plans he has for us to prosper us and not harm us, to give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We can stand, knowing with blessed assurance that no weapon that is formed shall prosper (Psalm 27:3). Standing firm in the faith and our convictions believing and trusting only in God for His might and His power to keep us in the face of adversity and opposition. For we know it is coming. The Day has come when we have to make sure we are fully clothed in our armor (Ephesians 6:13).
We must continue to stand strong knowing that The Government is upon His shoulders, yet interceding for our tiers of government from local city, county, state and federal officials to the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government in this realm. “The BLOOD still works!” Let us not walk by sight, understanding that the vision has already been written. Let us lay every and anything down that would deter us from walking in our assignments and run with patience the race that is before us (Hebrews 12:1). In the days to come, “The LORD bless and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you Shalom.
Continue in His Love always. It is so, it is done, and it is well. Amen
